Hope and Help for Indiana Domestic Violence Victims - Hope Cards

If you have been a victim of domestic violence in Indiana, there is new legislation which may help protect you in the future!

Indiana law enforcement officials have launched a program to protect abuse victims against their abusers. When a protective court order or restraining order is taken out against a person, wallet sized cards will now be printed up with the court order, all their information and a current picture of them, and it will be given to their abusers to carry as proof of the court order.

If the abuser breaks the court order, victims will now have an easier time proving the court order to law enforcement, rather than having to find the official court documents or keep the large packet of papers on their person at all times.

Indiana law enforcement officials hope this will speed up the arrest process and help protect victims of abuse from recurring incidents.

These wallet sized cards are called Hope Cards, and they were made possible to the state of Indiana through a Verizon Wireless grant in the amount of $30,000.

If you or a loved one have been a victim of domestic violence, abuse, stalking or other form of personal infringement or abuse, you can receive a Hope Card upon completion of a court order. In the meantime, call the personal injury law office of Wagner Reese! We may be able to help you receive the money you deserve to compensate for your sufferings.
